Royal Club Status Match Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the Status Match promotion?
Statusmatch.com, in cooperation with Royal Jordanian Airlines, offers participants who hold a elite status in an loyalty program an equivalent frequent flyer status in the Royal Club program of Gold Sparrow or Silver Jay.
To be eligible, the status holder must also live or reside in the listed countries and hold ID documents such as a passport or driver's license for the eligible country.
Eligible countries that are subject to change are: Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, UAE & UK.
If you reside outside of these countries, you are not eligible for this offer. - Do I have to be a Royal Club member to participate in the promotion?
Yes, a Royal Club membership number is required to participate in the promotion. You can enrol in the Royal Club program here.
- Which Royal Club frequent flyer status can I obtain through the promotion?
Approved applicants will receive the equivalent tier of Silver Jay or Gold Sparrow in the Royal Club program. Refer to the Status Tier mapping table further below.

Eligible members do not receive the upgrade vouchers as part of their status match until they re-qualify for the status tier. - How long is the status valid if my application for a status match is approved?
If your application is approved, you will receive the corresponding frequent flyer status in the Royal Club Program within 5 business days, valid for 12 months.
- Is there an application fee?
Application fees vary by market and offer. For the up to date application fee, refer to the terms & conditions
- I hold elite status with another airline not listed - can I still participate in the promotion?
No, only status members of the listed eligible loyalty programs may apply for this targeted offer.
- I reside in another country not listed - can I still participate in the promotion?
No, only status members of the listed eligible loyalty programs and holding ID documents for the eligible countries can apply. You may be required to undergo an ID check prior to your status match being approved.
- When does the Royal Club status match promotion end?
Royal Jordanian Airlines and StatusMatch.com reserves the right to end the promotion or vary it at their discretion.
- What information do you require for me to participate in the status match promotion?
To participate in the promotion, you need your Royal Club membership number, your other loyalty status number/card or proof for verification, and a valid qualifying e-mail address at which we can reach you.
During the registration process, we will also ask you for proof of your other loyalty status (e.g., a photo of your status card).
If you are not yet a Royal Club member, you can register here. - I hold an elite status with a hotel program - can I also participate in the promotion with this status?
Eligible hotel loyalty program status holders may also apply for a Status Match. The list of eligible hotel loyalty tiers is listed in the table below.
- How long does it take until I receive my new Royal Club frequent flyer status after applying?
You will be informed within three days after submitting the requested information, whether your status match has been approved. Once approved, it may take up to 5 business days until your frequent flyer status is upgraded in your Royal Club customer account.
After your frequent flyer status has been upgraded, you will receive an e-mail from Royal Jordanian Airlines, containing information on how to make the most of your frequent flyer status with Royal Club.
Please go online to view your Royal Club digital service card showing your elite status. Royal Club will not send out any physical service cards. - What benefits and privileges are the Royal Club frequent flyer status levels offering?
